Wedding and women

I am living in the early 21st century and like to wear what people today expect me to wear, that includes what I wore for my Bridesmaid Dresses. I’m not sure what your point is. An entire colour should not be off-limits to being worn on a certain day just because I chose to embrace my sexuality with my partner before marriage.

The assumption that the bride is a virgin does not exist in this day and ageIn the US and most western cultures it does symbolize purity, but the white cheap wedding dresses wasn’t en vogue until Queen Victoria wore one. Prior to that, women wore their best quinceanera dresses or had a prom dresses made to suit them in whatever color they chose. Queen Victoria didn’t even choose white for purity. She only chose white because she had some fancy white lace she wanted to use.white is the colour of virgins.Well, some do make that decision.I always thought white would be really summery and clean. Im a size 16 in cheap wedding dresses… im caucasion and my skin tone is light beige with some yellow undertones. Gwen Stefani took her white cheap wedding dresses and had the hem dipped in pink. Goth brides usually choose to wear black dresses. It’s a girl’s prerogative. The veil is sort of like the woman is a present. the veil covers the woman’s face as she walks up the isle then the dad lifts it off her face or the groom does before he kisses her and “unwraps” the present/woman. Personally, I am wearing a white cheap wedding dress because it has just been tradition (apparently since the 1800s) and I do want to stand out as being the bride, the only one in white. And the white cheap wedding dresses are so beautiful. Because it’s traditional, and pretty, and it would suck to walk into your own wedding and see someone wearing the same color dress as you. my aunt told me that cheap wedding dresses that are true bright white are not slimming and make you look fatter and i should go with a off white or ivory dress instead. the reason a woman changes her last name is becuase she’s no longer her dad’s property she is her husbands, so she no longer has her dads name, she has her husbands to show who she belongs to. Would an off white prom  dresses look better on me? A ivory Bridesmaid dresses with mostly a champagne bottom. I have heard cheap wedding dresses that the whole thing about a white dress symbolizing virginity is just a myth; but today I went to a bridal shower, and we were playing a jeopardy, and one of the questions asked about this, and I thought the answer was the veil, because I also heard that in some cultures the veil does symbolize virginity, but now i’m confused??Every culture has different symbolism for everything. The idea of a white cheap wedding dresses representing purity and virginity is pretty much a thing of a past. Many “deflowered” brides are wearing white prom dresses to keep with the tradition of what a wedding “looks like.” Some may be offended by this, but I really think that it is my choice.Yeah, and wearing blue jeans wasn’t in until the 20th century.

It doesn’t mean I’m going to walk around wearing a dress from the Victorian Era.  it does kind of symbolise virginity because again the veil is white and the woman under it is supposed to be a virgin but not to the same extent a white Bridesmaid dresses does.so they’re all pretty gross customs that basically say a woman is worthless unless she’s “pure.” which is a shameLLB actually beat me to it, (so they deserve the credit on the answer imho).
