I was quite happy with the situation while my partner Will seemed to be a little bit annoyed. He once said to me that he doesn’t like Anne’s penetrating eyes because they looked just like the eyes of policeman.

I had been longing for a prom for a very long time. To tell the truth, the beauties in their beautiful prom dresses were the main factors which made me so fascinated with the prom.

Finally, I got a chance to take part in the prom held by our college. I spent more than one hour to dress up myself, kept trying on my different cheap prom dresses to see which one would be the most suitable one.

I got to the venue much earlier than the beginning time because I just couldn’t wait any longer. For that time, I did not make myself just idle. I wandered everywhere to seek the beauties so that I could dance with the girl I like during the prom. And to my satisfaction, I just noticed one who was in her fashion prom dress. Then, the clock at last announced the beginning of the prom.

I went to invite the girl I have noticed to dance with me. Thank goodness, she did not refuse. So we began to dance.

During the dance, I thought I need to start a topic so that the process wouldn’t be an embarrassment to us. As the most popular topics among our school those days was about our headmaster, I thought that might be a good topic since both of us are students and we would certainly have the same feeling for the headmaster.

“You heard about the latest discussion about our headmaster among students these days?” I began with my word.

“Yes. It is hot these days.” She replied.

On hearing her reply, I complimented myself for my cleverness. “She knew this topic is hot. That would be a good topic since we have common sense on it.” I said to myself.

“Yeah, you know, the headmaster is really abominable…” I began to count the hateful points of our headmaster’s.

Then, as in a sudden, the girl interrupted me, “Do you know who I am?”

Only till that moment, I realized that I even didn’t ask her name or made a self introduction to her. So, I nodded and asked, “Could you please tell me?”

“I am the daughter of our headmaster.” She said calmly.

My heart jumped to my mouth when I heard these words. Shortly, I came back to myself and asked, “Do you know who I am?”

The girl nodded and just meant to ask me who I am.

I said, “That’s good. And wish you a good night.” And then, I let her hands go and slipped away as fast as I could. And thank goodness that she didn’t know me.
