Cinderella only Exists in Fairy Tale

During our Childhood, we all heard about the fairy tale of Cinderella. And from that time on, all we little girls dreamed of becoming Cinderella. We hoped that one day we can put on the most beautiful prom dresses, dance with the most handsome man and become his beloved one.

However, when we grow up and get chances to take part in different kinds of ball, we realized that Cinderella only exists in fairy tale.

Back to the time of our prom for my college life, I dreamed that I can be the most brilliant girl in the prom. However, in reality, there is no magic thing like in the fairy tale. Nobody would give me a carriage, glass slippers and beautiful dresses for the ball. I even could not find some decent dresses for the prom, let alone the most beautiful prom dress.

With great disappointment, I made a wish just as Cinderella did before the ball. The difference is that, Cinderella’s dream turned to be true, and mine didn’t. Since that moment, I knew for full that Cinderella is but a fairy tale.

After realized that, I took part in the prom happily even without a decent dress for it. Because I knew that it was the experience which does count. If I don’t join it, I would regret all my rest life for letting it go simply because I do not have a beautiful prom dress.

Our friendship among 11 years

When I met with Eve in the turning of Huaqing West, I was astonished. Eve is my primary school classmate, I do not know how she can recognize me in the crowd, we have not seen each other nearly 11 years. That’s really a miracle! And her attire sets off her an elegant lady with exquisite prom dress on an evening party. She does not change.

On the way to her home for dinner, I was told she has married last year. Her marriage seems a trade in the beginning- the man is the son of her father’s business partner, but gradually, both they fall real love with each other and now they live a happy life. When we arrived her home, Kunta-her husband was cooking and her little girl, just the copy of little Eve was watching the hottest cartoon- Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf. Eve told me she would give her little girl the Quinceanera dress she wore on the adult ceremony.
“Really, mum?” The little spirit raised her head and asked.
“If you are a poppet”. When receiving the answer, she jumped onto Eve and gave her a big kiss.

Kunta was still cooking in the kitchen. Eve held me to her room, where I saw her Quinceanera dress in wardrobe, a white dress, very nice, and an old photo on the secretaire-she and I, we took it 11years ago, the day she would leave the town for this city. I remembered she had said we hold the adult ceremony together, white dresses and roses around us. But we lost contact since she left. The whole 11 years, there’s no news about each other. That’s really let me down for quite a long time. Looking at the woman on opposite, we smiled. Maybe the reunion is the miracle destiny.

“Honey, dinner time.” When we were still soak ourselves in memories, Kunta knocked on the door. Seeing the two weeping happy women, he smiled.
